Overview
The 2011 13-15 Year Old Babe Ruth World Series will be held in Jamestown, New York from August 20-27. This is the 15th total World Series hosted in the city of Jamestown. The city hosted the first ever Babe Ruth World Series in 1980 with the 13-Year-Old World Series. All 25 games of the tournament will be held at Russell E. Diethrick, Jr. Park, home of the Single A Jamestown Jammers of the minor league NY-Penn league. In 1997 the stadium was re-named in honor of Diethrick, a long-time supporter of local baseball and currently the Host President of the BRWS Committee.
Championship Format

The 10-team World Series field is comprised of the champions of each of the eight national regions (New England, Middle Atlantic, Ohio Valley, Southeast, Midwest Plains, Southwest, Pacific Northwest and Pacific Southwest) as well as the Western New York State Champions and the Host Team.

Each of the 10 teams in the World Series will play four round-robin style games over the first five days of play. Teams will be split into two divisions, National and American. Each team will play the other four teams in their division once. A tie in standings will be broken by head-to-head records then fewest total runs allowed. After pool play the top three teams in each division will advance to a single elimination bracket, with the top seed in each division receiving byes.
