| Richie Sexson made the 16-18 World Series all-tournament team as a first basemen in 1992. His Vancouver, Washington team won that years World Series in Jamestown and Sexson went on to be drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 24th round of the 1993 Amatuer Draft. He has played 10 MLB seasons and is currently on the Seattle Mariners. Sexon has 1135 career hits and 273 career home runs. |

Kris Benson |
|
Kris Benson played in Jamestown in 1992 for Marietta, Georgia. In 1996 the Pittsburgh Pirates selected him with the number one overall pick of the draft, becoming the second player after Ben McDonald to have played in a Jamestown World Series and be drafted number one overall. Benson pitched for four and a half years with the Pirates was then traded to the Mets and most recently with the Baltimore Orioles. Benson’s career record is 68-73 with 787 strikeouts. |

Ben McDonald was the number one overall pick of the 1989 Major League Baseball draft. In 1984 he was playing in Jamestown World Series for Denham Springs. The Baltimore Orioles selected him with their first pick and he played his first seven years in the majors with the O’s. He played for the Milwaukee Brewers in his last seasons before ending his career in 1997. McDonald was a starting pitcher and his career record is 78-70. |
Derek Lilliquist |

Derek Lilliquist played in Jamestown in the 16-18 World Series in 1984. He was selected to the All-Tournament team as the utility player. In 1987 he was drafted in the first round with the sixth pick overall by the Atlanta Braves. He played in the big leagues for eight seasons with Atlanta, San Diego, Boston, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. He was mainly a reliever and appeared in 262 games winning 25 and racking up 17 saves. |
Dave Howard |

Dave Howard played in the 1984 World Series in Jamestown. He made the big leagues as a middle infielder and spent seven years with the Kansas City Royals and two years with the St. Louis Cardinals before playing his last MLB game in 1999. Howard played in 645 career games and had 362 career hits. |
Matt Targac |
Matt was a member of the Southwest Regional Champions Weimar, Texas in the 1997 16-18 Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown. After attending Sacred Heart University, the left-handed pitcher was drafted in the ninth round of the 1998 amateur entry draft by the Atlanta Braves organization. He pitched one year for the Gulf Coast League Braves farm team and another two for the Florida Marlins GCL team. |
Dave Swanson |

Dave was a member of the 1987 13-15 New England Region Champions of Berlin, Connecticut. As a high school player David was named Gatorade Player of the Region for New England and Player of the Year for the state of Connecticut.
After high school Swanson was drafted by the New York Mets in the ninth round and played four years of minor league baseball in the Mets, Rockies and Red Sox farm organizations.
In 1993 Swanson pitched for the NY-Penn league Pittsfield Mets and made a return trip to Jamestown and played against the Jamestown Expos (now named Jammers). Swanson had a career record of 23-18 and in his final year was 7-1 with a 1.46 ERA for the Capital City Bombers in 1995.
Swanson is currently the Owner and General Manager of Swanson's Professional Baseball Instruction (SPBI) in Berlin, Connecticut. BRWS teammate Rob Manzo is one of Swanson's staff members. Manzo was a four-year starting catcher at Quinnipiac University. |
